Metamorphosis

I am not who I was, not who I will be,
Yet am I who I am in this fleeting instant?
Who lives right now…and now…
And now? Anyone of worth?
Is the heart awakened to the value of
this life, this day, this moment?
Is the soul impassioned for the breath I just took,
for the breath of others across the room, across the world?
Is the mind engaged in that which has meaning,
which might change the world, change the flow,
change me?

Is this body active to assist the elderly,
the orphaned, the needy, the widowed?
Is it quick to grasp the divine moments,
though they may be subtle,
and jump at the privilege of partnering in the eternal?
Change Oh Heart
Change Oh Soul
Change Oh Mind
Change Oh Body
Change for the better, for the growth, for the life it brings
Change for the world around you
The world beyond you
The world within you
Be transformed, be new
Be different, be you
The new you, the real you, the redeemed you, the God in you
I am not who I was, not who I will be, yet am I who I am in this fleeting instant

No sleep 2

It’s way too hot, way too cold
Turn off the heater
Quit pulling the blankets
Is the TV still on?
Is that the clock ticking?
I’m freezing, It’s stifling
No Sleep

No Sleep

Too much on the mind
Too much on the conscience
Too much on the calendar
Too much…no sleep

Serve at the Master's Table

Serve at the Master’s Table
Bring appetizers of praise
Serve the wine of our love
Offer the entrée of our bodies
As living sacrifices, pure and holy
It is our spiritual act of worship
Lay before the guest of honor the desert of joy in our suffering
Serve at the Master’s table

Away

Away
Away, Away, Away to the Father
Away, Away to His Face
Away I long to go
And sit, rest, embrace, serve…
…at the feet of Jesus…
Away, Away, Away

Oracle

Oracle
I see Him, I seek Him
I found Him, I need Him
I know Him, I long for Him
I speak of Him, I desire more of Him
His Words, my words
His thoughts, my thoughts
His will, my will
He abides, I abide
